Recently, districts were invited to participate in the Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey (OHYES!) at no cost to gain information to best serve their students. The 30-minute survey for students in grades 7-12 can provide data that support districts’ continuous improvement and whole child plans. Districts must register to participate by April 16.

Equity labs to assist in local equitable access planning The Department will be offering virtual equity labs to assist districts and schools with their annual local equitable access planning process. The first lab begins Feb. 18.

The Ohio Department of Education is partnering with Sandy Hook Promise to provide Safety Assessment and Intervention, one of the Sandy Hook Promise’s proven Know the Signs programs, at no cost to districts and schools in the 2020-2021 school year. Due to the COVID–19 pandemic, trainings will be offered virtually during this school year.
