Secondary Transition & CTE Network Fall Meeting 9.21.2022
This network meeting takes a closer look at secondary transition and innovative student success planning, including career technical education. The network spent time unpacking updates from the Ohio Department of Education including the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) surrounding graduation and students with disabilities, We also explored evidence- based practices within secondary transition to promote student success. The group worked to decide regional professional development needs and spent time in collaboration.

Regional Family Engagement Network Fall Meeting 11.9.2021
SST 12’s Regional Family Engagement Network supports family engagement in education by bringing together school districts, community schools, career technical schools, educational service centers, and county board of developmental disabilities. The agenda from the November 9, 2021, meeting focused on the ESC CARES Liaisons, Parent Mentors, and the Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center at The Ohio State University. Dr. Barbara Boone and Hadley Bachman facilitated a Multi-Tiered Approach to Family Engagement.

Career-Based Intervention and Job Training Coordinator Program Information Session
A discussion with Chelsea Canterbury, Education Program Specialist in the Career Tech Office of the Ohio Department of Education and Sherri Lawrence, CTE Consultant with SSTs 12 and 16 on how we can best serve all students in Career Tech Education programming. Included in the conversation are Career-Based Intervention and the Job Training Coordination Program, as well as, high quality professional development resources and some ideas for funding opportunities.

PBIS Leadership Network Fall Meeting 11.9.2022
In attempting to assist as many buildings and districts as possible, this PBIS Leadership Network focused on walking districts through administering several fidelity tools. We reviewed the Tiered-Fidelity Inventory, the Self-Assessment Survey, and the School Climate Survey. These tools are important in assessing PBIS implementation levels as well as gauging readiness to apply for state-level awards. In addition, we provided updates and resources from regional and state PBIS workgroups.

This network meeting took a closer look at Secondary Transition and innovative student success planning, including Career Technical Education. The purpose of this network was to explore ways entities can work together while improving outcomes for students as they transition from school into adulthood. We spent time discussing needs of professional learning, regional collaboration, and unpacking updates from the Department of Education, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, community partners, and exploring evidence-based practices within secondary transition to promote student success.

Unpacking the Role of the Paraprofessional, Individualized Student Needs 2.16.2023
This session focuses on the role of the paraprofessional in supporting the individual needs of students. Participants will understand critical components of the IEP, Section 504 Plans, Behavior Plans and Health Care Plans. In addition, participants will review data collection, tracking individual students needs and the importance of documentation.
