This professional learning is specific to special education directors who are new to the position or less than 3 years of experience in their position. This institute will support new directors in the essential functions of their position, including individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) compliance, practices and procedures, and considerations for implementing an internal monitoring process.
