2009-2010 Data Collection Tool for Students with Disabilities is available on the ODE website. This document is a management tool that districts may use to document special education data for submission to EMIS in 2009-2010. It contains the fields for data that must be submitted in EMIS and may be useful in managing the collection of required data. Use of this tool is not required and districts may amend it to suit their needs. Access the tool at education.ohio.gov by searching: Data Collection Tool, or at EdResourcesOhio.org.

Secondary Transition
We will provide training and technical assistance in the transition component of the IEP process, secondary transition planning and related issues. An initial and ongoing focus of the work includes working with districts on State Performance Plan indicators that address graduation rate (Indicator 1), drop-out rate (Indicator 2), transition services for youth age 16 and above (Indicator 13), and youth who are employed or attending post-secondary school (or both) within one year of leaving high school (Indicator 14).
