University of Dayton, Transition to Teaching
Selected candidates are prepared to provided instruction to students with varying disabilities in grades K-12. Additionally, the Ohio T2T project emphasizes students with disabilities who are also English Language Learners.

Some benefits of the T2T program include:
  • A discounted graduate tuition rate from the University of Dayton;
  • An accelerated program leading to receipt of an Alternative Resident Educator License (AREL) in approximately 12 to 16 months;
  • Placement within a participating high-need school district;
  • Participation in a structured mentoring program;
  • Work with and learn from highly qualified and experienced instructors; and
  • Guidance from a University of Dayton advisor.
